She worked in the energy, forensic, manufacturing, and bioscience industries as an engineer and is a longtime member of the Society of Women Engineers.

In 2010, she stepped away from engineering to help evolve hiring and retention practices. Her love for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) motivated her to improve the career opportunities for military spouses and ultimately co-founded the Society of Military Spouses in STEM (SMSS).

To help others succeed through proactive career management, she founded Skilled Assets, a career management consulting company, and ProReactor, a do-it-yourself career management membership website.
