Michelle started her career as an engineer. Her love for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) motivated her to improve the career opportunities for military spouses and ultimately co-founded the Society of Military Spouses in STEM (SMSS).
To help others succeed through proactive career management, she founded Skilled Assets, a career management consulting company, and ProReactor, a do-it-yourself career management membership website.
With less than 50 Nationally Certified Résumé Writers (NCRW) worldwide, Michelle is among the industry titans driving forward-thinking progress in the realm of self-promotion and career management. She is a member of Career Thought Leaders and the National Résumé Writers’ Association, recently invited to improve the reputation of the profession on the Public Image committee.
She is an avid advocate for military spouses, transitioning military members, and veterans regularly contributing to Military Spouse magazine and Military Officers Association of America (MOAA). Michelle was a recipient of a National Military Family Association Joanne Holbrook Patton Military Spouse Scholarship in 2012 and 2015 and was named the 2016 Armed Forces Insurance Air Force Spouse of the Year by Armed Forces Insurance and Military Spouse magazine.
As an outspoken supporter of parents and caregivers and the value they bring to society and the workplace, she partners and contributes to FlexJobs plus provided career expertise and helped launch the Mothers & More Mothers Work Initiative.
